This collage shows a 360 degree view of the beach while a rainstorm builds on the horizon.
After taking the photos for the "Journey across the Sand" collage, I ventured closer to the water. Despite the approaching storm, the beach was lined with umbrellas, canopies, towels and beach chairs. It was a good day in the middle of summer, and we were all taking advantage of it while we could before the rain arrived.
The waves were stronger than they would have been on a calmer day. They slammed into my legs and tried to push me back to shore. I didn't doubt that, when the storm came, the beach would not go unaffected.
Notice that the beach is more-or-less straight without any dramatic curves. Also take a look at the lifeguard tower on the middle-right, half-hidden behind the dark green open-wall canopy.
